PTFE O-ring, also known as polytetrafluoroethylene O-ring or Teflon O-ring, is a sealing element with excellent characteristics. The following is an introduction to the main characteristics and applications of PTFE O-rings:

  1. **Excellent chemical resistance**:PTFE O-rings have excellent chemical resistance, making them widely used in semiconductor, chemical and other industries for sealing various equipment and pipelines.
  2. **Non-stick and self-lubricating**:PTFE material is non-stick, making the O-ring less likely to stick when in contact with other materials. In addition, its self-lubricating properties also reduce friction and improve sealing performance and service life.
  3. **Heat resistance and weather resistance**:PTFE material has good heat resistance and weather resistance, allowing the O-ring to maintain stable performance in high or low temperatures or harsh environments. This makes it widely used in chemical industry, automobile and other industries.
  4. **Electrical insulation properties**:PTFE O-ring has excellent electrical insulation properties, so it is also widely used in sealing electronic parts and equipment.
  5. **High crystallinity and melting temperature**: PTFE materials generally have a crystallinity of 90 to 95% and a melting temperature of 365 to 385°C. It does not melt at a temperature of 250°C and does not become brittle at an ultra-low temperature of -240°C, showing its excellent temperature stability.

Based on the above characteristics, PTFE O-rings are widely used in many industries, including but not limited to chemical, food, electronics and medical industries. In these industries, PTFE O-rings are used to seal various equipment and pipelines to ensure the normal operation and stable performance of the equipment.

It should be noted that although PTFE O-rings have many advantages, they may need to be used in combination with other materials in certain environments to meet specific sealing requirements. Therefore, when selecting and using PTFE O-rings, comprehensive considerations need to be made based on actual application scenarios and needs.
